never give up

Episode 192 of the Fit Father Project Podcast is an uplifting conversation that will inspire you to never give up, no matter what you’re going through!

In this episode, you’ll meet Lisa Tamati, an author, podcaster, health optimization coach, and so much more!

Lisa is an ex-professional ultra-endurance athlete turned health optimization, longevity, anti-aging, and high-performance expert.

Lisa was catapulted from the world of sports into the world of health after her mother suffered a massive aneurysm and was told she would never have any quality of life again.

But Lisa refused to believe it. She dove deep into the research and spent the following years helping her mom rehabilitate herself from having hardly any function to having complete independence, including getting her driver's license back, walking up to 5 km a day, and going to the gym five days a week.

The story doesn’t end there. After all of that, Lisa’s mother was hit with a terminal cancer diagnosis and given just weeks to live.

Again, not willing to give up, Lisa dove back into the research and pulled together a comprehensive protocol using everything from the science around the metabolic approach to cancer to peptides, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a strict keto diet, and more.

Her mom is now cancer-free and back to near full health at age 82!

Lisa shares her and her mother's story—an amazing journey of determination and resilience. It’s an incredible conversation highlighting the importance of mindset and pushing through mental and physical limits.

Key Takeaways:

  • Mindset is crucial in overcoming challenges and pushing through limits.
  • Starting small and setting achievable goals can lead to accomplishing bigger goals.
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy can be beneficial for brain repair and recovery.
  • Advocating for proper medical care and resources is essential in critical situations.
  • Persistence and dedication are key in helping a loved one recover from a serious health condition.
  • Researching and implementing various treatments can lead to miraculous recoveries.
  • A supportive team and advocating for your needs are crucial in navigating the medical system.
  • Learning and staying on the cutting edge of wellness can lead to optimal health and longevity.
