Reversing The Aging Process

Reversing the aging process may sound like nothing more than a pipe dream or a marketing gimmick.

But you can reverse aging, get in shape, and live your best life at any age!

Fit Father Chris was able to do it, and it transformed his life.

Chris is a 46-year-old father of three who, like many of us, is packed with work, family, and life commitments.

And also, like many of us, a busy, hectic schedule led to health and fitness falling by the wayside.

He tried losing weight at various points in his life … with varying degrees of success.

He always had the energy and intention to change, but without a clear, structured plan, it was always hard to take action.

He knew he needed structure, like the dedicated regimens he had back in his football playing days.

So, he found the Fit Father Project and dove right into the Fit Father All-Access Membership!

What happened next is nothing short of amazing!

Listen to Chris's Story on the Fit Father Project Podcast:

A Wake-Up Call

Growing up, Chris was always athletic and in great shape.

As an adult, family, work, and life set in, and he was taken over by a busy, hectic schedule.

His weight started creeping up, and before he knew it, he was the heaviest he had ever been.

He began suffering from health issues, too.

Then, when he looked at pictures of himself from a few years back, he had his wake-up call.

“I felt bad because while simply bending over to tie my shoes or climbing up stairs, I would get out of breath. I have always had an issue with high cholesterol. But my blood pressure also started creeping up, perhaps due to pre-hypertension.”

Chris was always into fitness and knew how to get in shape.

He lost weight here and there, but he could never sustainably maintain it.

“In 2012, I lost quite a bit of weight and got down to about 185. But I did it the wrong way by cutting calories and not exercising. So I lost muscle mass and looked good, but I couldn't maintain that and ended up regaining it.”

He always had the energy and intention to change, but, without a clear, structured plan, it was always hard to take action.

He knew he needed structure, like the dedicated regimens he had back in his football-playing days.

So, Chris began looking for a more sustainable solution to fitness, and he came across the Fit Father Project.

He was won over by the program's structure and progressive nature.

“The program has a dedicated structure that tells you how to do a workout. Plus, I love the fact that it takes you down a road and changes every 30 days progressively, as I tend to get bored with the same stuff all the time.”

Reversing The Aging Process

Chris began seeing results right away on the Fit Father Project, and it motivated him to do even more.

He learned about the 75 Hard Challenge from one of his friends, and he found an instant connection to it.

So he jumped into it and found it to be a perfect complement to the Fit Father Project.

“It's a mental challenge, and you get physical benefits out of it. It has five tasks. You must get a gallon of water daily, read 10 pages a day of a self-development, non-fiction book, indulge in a diet, and do two workouts per day, 45 minutes each, at least no matter the circumstance.”

According to Chris, it was the powerful combination of both programs that helped him achieve his desired weight-loss and fitness goals.

“The Fit Father Project was the vehicle to get me where I wanted to go. And 75 Hard was the engine. The 75 Hard gave me the extra oomph I needed, and the Fit Father Project gave me all the necessary tools.”

Emphasizing the importance of mindset in the fitness journey, Chris said he would often fall off track because he lacked the right mindset.

However, when he made the positive mental shift, he began to show up for himself more consistently and do the workouts more strictly.

Chris followed both the workout and meal plans with utmost dedication, and he began breaking away from his previous unhealthy relationship with food.

The benefits he derived from the program were such that he cut down his body fat in half (from 33% to 15.6%)  and could see his abs.

All in all, he shed 41 pounds to become fitter and healthier than he ever was.

Now the sky is the limit for Chris, who is now on our Old School Muscle (OSM) program.

So what would Chris say to someone looking to join the Fit Father Project?

“Get started because you are not getting any younger. There is never going to be a perfect or right time. You need focused efforts and accountability to check the boxes off every day. You can always check in with the incredible guys in the Brotherhood community for inspiration. Ask them questions because they have the answers. You can lean on those guys because they have been there and done it all. They will steer you straight.”

3 Key Takeaways From Chris's Journey

To summarize, here are three key lessons you can learn from Chris’s successful health and fitness journey:

Lesson 1: Structure Is Key

It's hard to take action without a structured plan, even if we have the energy and intention to change.

It keeps you in control of things.

Structure provides a strong foundation that you can build other healthy habits on.

Lesson 2: Find What Works for You

When you find what truly works for you and your body, you create a new normal that favors your personal algorithm.

You don't have to force yourself into a routine, habit, or schedule that does not move the needle for you.

Listen to your body and go with its flow.

Lesson 3: Fitness Sets Off a Generative Cycle

A healthy body leads to healthier biochemistry, which leads to healthier emotions.

Thus, it is like a generative cycle where you end up bringing integration and alignment among your mind, body, and soul.

When you do good, you also feel good. So, a better lifestyle will reflect a positive holistic trail of changes.
